I LOVED [Roses and Champagne]

I thought this was going to be another mafia story but I enjoyed this manhwa A LOT. Among a lot of things I loved from this story is how it unapologetically portrayed Caesar. Caesar was shown to be capable of showing care and affection, and yet, it also did not shy away from showing his violence and lacking of self-awareness when it comes to people’s feelings and boundaries which has evidently manifested in his relationship w Lee-Won.

Lee-Won in the other hand, was characterized as upright, strong and compassionate which is why we see him struggle interacting w Caesar bc of their differences in morals and character. This is why it’s more endearing to see their development when LW comes to understand his feelings towards Caesar and gradually feels the weight that entailed loving Caesar — to see and to accept Caesar as a person and as a lover, especially during times when Caesar’s actions of “love” is deemed questionable and unacceptable by normal standards.

Others things I loved about this series: BOTH are beautiful and competitive. DILFS. HOT SMUT. Comical panels. Hockey.
