BL mangas/manhwas/stories that you “discomfort read”?

If we call our favorite mangas/manhwas “comfort read”, then what are mangas/manhwas that you read despite getting the feeling of discomfort or “ick”? Stories where you cannot stand the couple and scenarios but you continue reading hoping that it will become a good story eventually? Or maybe you got caught up in the BL manga/manhwa’s hype but it turned out to be disappointing or not what you expect?

My “discomfort read” is Codename:Anastasia. I got caught up in the hype from Facebook BL groups thinking it will be like Roses and Champagne but damn, how disappointed I was. I’m already chapter 30 and that is a lot of chapters for me to wait for the manhwa to get interesting. I usually drop after 10 chapters if I feel like the manga/manhwa is not for me but because of the hype this manhwa have, I just keep going despite stopping after reading one chapter then read again after a few days.

Another discomfort read I have is Payback. I don’t know if the manhwa adaption just suck compared to the novel because I don’t feel any romance between the main “couple”. Apparently the novel is intense and depressing but I feel like the manhwa adaption is censoring/omitting some scenes and focus on the main couple only.

I have no problem reading manhwas like Jinx or toxic couples/scenarios but something about Codename:Anastasia just makes me feel uneasy.
