Is it okay to enjoy yaoi as a gay man?

This may or may not be a silly question, but I read that yaoi is made primarily by and for women, and I don’t know if it’s common for gay men to enjoy yaoi, or if it’s wrong (as a gay man).

Please don’t insult me, I’m genuinely confused but curious.
